Weighing 100 lbs, Clancy descends from a line of American Labrador Retrievers bred specifically for the dual purpose of providing a good natured family pet as well possessing the drive and determination known in this breed of hunting dogs. He is an AKC registered "fox red" lab originating from a yellow female and fox red male who were both trained in field hunting. He maintains a tall, muscular frame and is a powerful athlete both in water and on the ground in strength and speed. Clancy's distinct characteristics as a friendly, loyal and intelligent animal makes him an excellent family dog. He is a relatively mellow dog who sustains a medium to low level of energy but is extremely driven and agile when asked to perform. He is very sweet and warm around both children and adults and is an all around good natured, companionable dog.
